Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a rehab setting
• Assess patient respiratory status and develop individualized treatment plans
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilation support
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in the state of Illinois
• Current BLS certification (CPR)
• Experience in acute care, rehab, or long-term care settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs
