Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care to patients in behavioral health crisis
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches to maintain a safe environment
• Float between youth and adult hospitals on the same campus as needed based on census
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
• Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and document care in Cerner EHR

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required at time of submission
• CPI certification required or willing to obtain within 45 days of start
• 2+ years of recent behavioral health experience required
• Cerner experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
• Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment with changing patient needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient in electronic health records, especially Cerner
