Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call and every 5th or 6th weekend on call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert circulating and patient care across multiple surgical specialties including neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, GYN, and robotics
Collaborate closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
Support pre/post-operative care and step in for PACU or ER trauma when needed
Maintain flexibility as schedules change daily and service lines vary
Mentor and educate fellow staff while contributing to a culture of safety and teamwork

Qualifications

Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong experience across all surgical service lines including neurosurgery
Comfortable working in a facility without specialized teams
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90 percent score
Willingness to follow facility policies including no artificial nails in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records
Skilled in DaVinci robotic procedures and general surgery cases
Knowledgeable in adult, geriatric, pediatric, and obstetric surgical care
Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
Excellent communication and adaptability in fast-paced OR settings
