Registered Nurse - Neuro Telemetry

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to neuro patients including stroke, TBI, and spinal surgery cases
- Titrate critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin to keep patients stable
- Interpret EKGs and respond quickly to cardiac changes on a busy telemetry unit
- Collaborate with a supportive charge nurse and experienced aides to deliver excellent bedside care
- Float to other telemetry units when needed, expanding your skills across the hospital
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner while delivering fast-paced, high-turnaround care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
- Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Neuro experience highly valued
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Confident with titrating cardiac and insulin drips
- Comfortable with trached patients and post-neuro procedures
- Solid understanding of sterile technique and central line care
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
