Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities such as Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, St. Catherine Dodge City, and St. Catherine Garden City
Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Neuro experience preferred along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC charting

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking abilities across cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical patient populations
Comfort working with telemetry monitoring and reading cardiac strips
Flexibility to float between ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units as needed
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a dynamic float-pool environment
