Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for surgical patients before, during, and after surgery
• Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient education and emotional support
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical continuum
• Coordinate patient care and integrate with the surgical team

Qualifications

• 2+ years of current Operating Room experience required
• Float experience in vascular, ortho, trauma, gen surg, robot, urology, and ENT
• Previous travel experience and EPIC proficiency required
• BLS and ACLS certification (current)
• Ability to scrub and circulate
• Must have own reliable transportation (firm requirement)
• Active New York RN license and NY Temporary Health Care Service Agency License
• Negative 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance

• Sterile technique and surgical asepsis
• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Strong skills in vascular and orthopedic surgery
• EPIC electronic medical record system
• Trauma, general surgery, urology, and robotic procedures
• Pediatric to adult patient care
