Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care to neonates in a Level III NICU
Monitor and manage ventilators and central lines for critically ill newborns
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, neonatologists, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists
Float to Mother-Baby and L&D units to support newborns and families during transition
Follow AWHONN/NANN guidelines to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Serve as a safety advocate and resource for the entire care team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum three years of NICU nursing experience
Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking abilities
Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
Valid driver's license for radius compliance verification

Knowledge & Skills

Experience caring for neonatal patients on vents and central lines
Ability to adapt quickly and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of AWHONN/NANN staffing and care guidelines
Willingness to float to Mother-Baby and L&D as needed
