Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients on a 24-bed unit
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips monitors while delivering exceptional patient care
Manage cardiac stepdown patients including those with CP, MI, and pre-transplant needs
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, and 24/7 pharmacy support
Float to other telemetry units as needed while maintaining high standards of care
Complete required SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license with Level 1 trauma experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts
Must have reliable transportation for travel teams

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Non-titrating medication drips management
CPAP and high flow oxygen therapy
Patient assessment and care planning
Sterile field maintenance and infection control
Floating flexibility across multiple telemetry units
