End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER units, floating seamlessly between departments
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining excellent continuity of care
Titrate critical medications including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with precision
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and respond confidently to codes and trauma situations
Perform EKGs, read cardiac strips, and document findings using Meditech EMR
Collaborate directly with hospitalists while working independently with minimal staffing support
Follow EMTALA regulations and coordinate flight transport for patients needing higher-level care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum ER experience essential for consideration
MedSurg experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working independently with minimal staff support

Knowledge & Skills

Titrate medications including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
Start IVs and manage PICC lines and ports
Respond to cardiac, stroke, and sepsis codes
Handle trauma situations and coordinate patient transfers
Read and document cardiac strips independently
Navigate Meditech EMR system
Understand and apply EMTALA regulations
