Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to MST patients during night shifts
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and document changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families with clear, respectful communication
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate concerns when necessary
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoffs for continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Prior acute care nursing experience preferred; MST program experience a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and professional

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of nursing fundamentals and acute care procedures
• Proficient with electronic health record documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced night-shift environment
• Compassionate, trauma-informed approach when working with MST populations
