Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed nursing care to assigned patients
• Assess patient condition, document findings, and adjust care plans accordingly
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status, escalating changes to the care team
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
• Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation in the electronic chart
• Educate patients and families with empathy and clear communication
• Serve as a dependable, professional presence during overnight coverage

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with trauma-informed care and MST-related patient needs preferred
• Current immunizations and the ability to pass background and credential checks
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and night-shift resilience

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking for acute and complex patients
• Medication administration and IV management
• Trauma-informed care practices related to MST populations
• Proficient documentation in electronic health record systems
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and care teams
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and respond effectively during overnight hours
