Start Date: 05-07-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shifts; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with the facility (orientation included)

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for Med/Surg patients with pediatric needs
Perform thorough assessments and monitor patients, escalating concerns as appropriate
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans
Document patient care and clinical observations clearly and timely in the chart
Support families and caregivers with education, resources and effective communication

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license valid in Missouri
BLS certification required; pediatric life support such as PALS is highly recommended
Comfort and experience working with pediatric patients in a Med/Surg setting
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively on a team

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and pediatric clinical observation
Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Infection control and standard safety protocols
Family-centered care and clear communication with caregivers
Familiarity with clinical workflows; EMR experience is a plus
