Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage assessments and prioritize care for urgent patients
• Provide high-quality nursing care, including medication administration and treatments per protocols
• Stabilize patients and coordinate timely transfers to higher levels of care when needed
• Document assessments, treatments and patient education clearly in the EMR
• Educate patients and caregivers on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Collaborate closely with providers, techs and administrative staff to keep the clinic running smoothly
• Maintain infection control, safety protocols and a calm, professional environment during busy shifts

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Prior urgent care or emergency department experience preferred (1+ year)
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment in an urgent care setting
• Wound care, splinting and basic procedural assistance
• IV starts, medication administration and emergency interventions
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks under pressure
• Patient education and clear discharge instruction delivery
