Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility support
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Support nursing staff with timely, accurate charting and handoffs
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or able to obtain quickly
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and collaborating with a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control principles and safe patient handling
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
- Basic clinical documentation and following care plans
