Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living
- Perform vital signs, documentation, and routine observations accurately and promptly
- Keep patients comfortable and safe by following care plans and facility protocols
- Communicate clearly with nurses and the interdisciplinary team about patient status and needs
- Support a positive patient experience through respectful, patient-centered interactions
- Maintain cleanliness and infection-control practices in all care areas
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Valid CNA license as required by the state of California
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts
- Background check and facility-required immunizations as part of onboarding
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed CNA training program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and bedside manner
- Knowledge of ADLs, infection control, and basic vital sign assessment
- Ability to follow care plans and accurately document care
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Dependability and comfort working night shifts
