Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days and nights with 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period (days: Sat-Sun, nights: Fri-Sat)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to surgical, ortho, and oncology patients on a 32-bed unit
Monitor tele strips and titrate AMIO and CARDIZEM drips with precision
Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
Float to tele units to support the broader team
Advocate for patients undergoing knee/hip replacements, urological, and abdominal surgeries

Qualifications

Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg experience within the past 6 months
Tele experience required, including ability to read strips
Must pass dysrhythmia exam and Sim Lab orientation
Cannot reside within 50 miles of facility

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in GE monitors and central station telemetry
Proficiency titrating cardiac drips like AMIO and CARDIZEM
Strong assessment skills for post-surgical and oncology patients
Comfortable in 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios
