Shift Type: 0630-1900 or 1830-0700, every other weekend, manager schedules

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional intermediate care to CVU patients including downgraded CVICU cases
Support the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart initiatives with skill and precision
Titrate critical drips like Amio, nitro, and cardizem to manage blood pressure effectively
Monitor and interpret tele strips independently for timely cardiac interventions
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and RTs to optimize patient outcomes
Float to similar or lower acuity units to share your expertise where needed most

Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
1 year of experience with CVU patient population
Valid driver's license
Natural nails only - no artificial nails in patient care areas

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac and vascular diagnoses like CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR
Proficiency titrating vasoactive drips and blood pressure medications
Ability to read and interpret tele strips
Familiarity with RT equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula
Strong teamwork in a fast-paced CVU environment
