Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients in a 16-20 bed Medical Step Down Unit
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, giving you the time to truly connect
• Monitor and treat complex conditions including sepsis, heart failure, and respiratory failure
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate care as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a step-down or similar unit
• Active RN license in Georgia or compact state
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in managing sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, and respiratory failure
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and critical thinking under pressure
• Strong communication skills to educate patients and families
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
