Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
  • Perform thorough patient assessments and document care plans
  • Monitor residents' conditions and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and health management
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maine, or compact privilege where applicable
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting is a big plus
  • COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption, as required
  • Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
  • A genuine passion for caring for older adults

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid understanding of nursing principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations
  • Comfort with electronic health records and clinical documentation
  • Strong critical thinking and the ability to respond quickly in changing situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A warm, empathetic approach that puts residents at ease
