Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns
• Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs during labor
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
• Respond to emergency situations with quick thinking and expertise

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state
• BLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience preferred
• Ability to float to other units or care sites as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
