Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to infusion patients, coordinating referrals and treatments
• Coordinate and oversee appointment scheduling for infusion patients, ensuring seamless care
• Monitor and report patient reactions to drugs, treatments, and immunizations
• Assist with supervising clinic staff to optimize daily patient flow and resource utilization
• Administer specialty IV fluids via peripheral or central catheters following infusion protocols
• Educate patients and families about post-discharge care programs
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient care environment

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state (must have current Alaska license to submit)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience in immunotherapy or chemotherapy specialty medications
• Prior experience in infusion nursing or oncology is highly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to obtain clinical competency within 3 months of hire

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Education required to obtain a valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of nursing protocols and individualized care planning
• Proficiency in operating IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and electronic health records
• Excellent communication and leadership skills in a healthcare environment
• Critical thinking and ability to respond in emergency situations
• Understanding of pharmacology, side effects, and adverse reactions
