Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in medical, surgical, and step-down units
• Float between units as needed, adapting quickly to different patient populations
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Document accurately using Meditech EMR and manage medications via Pyxis
• Care for patients with wound vacs, chest tubes, and other specialized equipment

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license (or ability to obtain upon acceptance of offer)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in med-surg or step-down nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC certifications
• Ability to float to Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular units

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication system
• Experience managing wound vacs and chest tubes
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to varying nurse-to-patient ratios (1:6 to 1:8)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
