Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Take and record vital signs, observe changes in condition, and report to nursing staff
• Turn and reposition residents to prevent pressure injuries
• Transfer residents safely between bed, chair, and wheelchair
• Maintain a clean and organized environment by changing linens and restocking supplies
• Answer call lights promptly and provide compassionate support
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members

Qualifications

• Active California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Ability to work under pressure and relate positively to residents, families, and staff

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong observation and communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to understand and follow resident care plans and ADLs
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
