Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care to progressive care and step-down ICU patients
• Monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Perform fingerstick blood glucose checks and manage related treatments
• Administer medications using Pyxis and chart with Meditech
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other acute units including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER as needed

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Active Hawaii RN license (or ability to obtain upon offer)
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Experience with progressive care and telemetry preferred
• Ability to float to various units and adapt quickly

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Meditech charting and Pyxis medication system
• Skilled in continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry strip reading
• Comfortable with BIPAP and other respiratory support devices
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
