Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care in a 22-bed Emergency Department
• Lead and coordinate patient care across shifts in a physician-led model
• Collaborate closely with Advanced Practice Providers to deliver seamless care
• Document care and communicate effectively using EPIC
• Participate in quality improvement and program growth for the Ohio Health O'Bleness partnership
• Maintain clear handoffs and ensure continuity across 12-hour rotations
• Support on-site administrative processes to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

• Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician OR Board Certified Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with EM experience
• Active or eligible Ohio medical license (ability to obtain state license required)
• Prior emergency department clinical experience required; new graduates not accepted
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; visa candidates are not being considered
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and contributing to 24/7 coverage
• Experience with EPIC (electronic health record) preferred
• Proven ability to collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary hospital teams

Education

• MD or DO (or equivalent medical degree) with Board Certification as noted above

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department patient flow and acute care management
• Proficiency with EPIC for documentation and order entry
• Strong clinical decision-making and triage skills
• Effective teamwork and communication with APPs, nursing, and administration
• Adaptability to fast-paced, high-volume ED environment
