Roles & Responsibilities

Accurately perform echocardiogram studies including Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress and pharmacological echocardiography to deliver vital diagnostic insights
Conduct EKG, Holter prep, monitoring, analysis and Cardiac stress tests with precision
Utilize echocardiographs, cardiac stress systems, electrocardiographs, Holter monitors and computer analysis to provide the best information for cardiology physicians
Assess hospital information systems for seamless scheduling, processing and charging
Implement infection control practices and aseptic techniques for patient safety
Guide students from colleges and universities as a preceptorship resource
Deliver age-specific cardiac diagnostic tests for neonatal and pediatric patients with expertise

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
Basic Life Support certification
Registered Cardiac Sonographer credential
Successful completion of certification program and/or two years hands-on experience with echocardiography preferred
Extensive experience in echocardiography studies in a hospital setting highly valued
Experience in both pediatric and neonatal echocardiography a plus

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Certificate Program in Cardiovascular Sonography preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in echocardiogram studies, EKG, Holter monitoring and cardiac stress tests
Proficient with transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, color-flow Doppler, transesophageal, exercise stress and pharmacological echocardiography
Skilled in operating echocardiographs, cardiac stress systems, electrocardiographs, Holter monitors and computer analysis
