Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field for complex CVOR procedures
• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and hybrid cath lab surgeries
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments with precision
• Ensure all surgical equipment and supplies are ready and sterile
• Monitor patient safety and positioning during procedures
• Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Surgical Tech License (CST) through DORA - required
• Certification in Surgical Technology from NBSTSA, AST, or NCCT
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience as a scrub technologist
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
• Ability to work rotating call schedule including weekends and holidays

Education

• Graduate of an accredited scrub technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
• Strong understanding of aseptic protocols and infection control
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Proficient in patient positioning and safety measures
