Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility with care and attention
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication with clinical staff
• Assist with personal hygiene, feeding, and comfort measures respectfully
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients safe
• Collaborate with nurses and care team members to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of California or equivalent
• Active basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
• Recent experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care is a plus
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to accept per-diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety protocols
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Ability to follow care plans and report observations effectively
• Team player with strong time management and patient advocacy skills
