Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and adhere to infection control policies
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and the care team to support coordinated care
• Document care and observations accurately and timely in the patient record

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing
• Active state registry as required by California regulations
• Ability to work overnight shifts and cover per diem assignments as needed
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Basic BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental nursing assistant skills: bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding
• Vital sign measurement and basic patient assessment
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards
• Teamwork and clear communication with multi-disciplinary staff
