Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Assist patients with mobility, positioning, and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment following infection control protocols
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Support patients and their families with kindness, patience, and respect

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
• Must bring a state or federal issued identification to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
• Completed COVID-19 vaccine or a documented religious/medical exemption, per facility policy
• A genuine passion for helping others and providing quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of basic patient care techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
• Empathy and patience when interacting with patients and families
• Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
