Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment for procedures
Set up surgical instruments, supplies and equipment prior to cases
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon efficiently and safely
Anticipate surgeon and team needs to help procedures run smoothly
Perform instrument counts and document all perioperative activities accurately
Assist with room turnover and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and stored
Participate in orientation and training to uphold facility standards

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred; diploma or certificate in surgical technology accepted
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
Comfortable working in an operating room environment and following sterile technique
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within the surgical team

Education

Surgical Technology certificate or diploma (Associate degree or equivalent is a plus)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of sterile technique and infection control
Familiarity with common surgical instruments and OR equipment
Ability to anticipate procedural needs and prioritize under pressure
Accurate documentation and attention to detail (instrument counts, supplies)
Teamwork mindset and professional bedside manner
