Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day); On-call coverage: one weekday call shift per week 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM; One three-day weekend per month: Fri 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sat 7:00 AM - Sun 7:00 AM. Rotating coverage including nights and weekends

Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up and verify interventional radiology equipment and supplies, including Philips OmniDiagnost Eleva and Allura FD20
• Prepare access site and maintain sterile field while scrubbing for procedures
• Perform and assist with fluoroscopy- and ultrasound-guided procedures such as central venous access, PICC placement, catheter/drain exchanges, nephrostomy and gastrostomy tube placement
• Provide support for endovascular interventions including thrombolysis/thrombectomy, stent and IVC filter placement, dialysis graft interventions and TIPS procedures
• Accurately document procedures and patient care in Epic and manage imaging in PACS
• Maintain inventory, equipment checks and supplies to ensure smooth procedural workflow
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and cath lab staff to deliver safe, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• State radiologic technologist license required and must be active at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of relevant radiology/IR experience required
• Fluoroscopy competency and Epic charting experience required
• Ability to work scheduled on-call shifts and assigned weekend rotations
• Strong sterile technique and procedural assistance skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Interventional Radiology procedures and sterile scrub technique
• Fluoroscopy operation and safety
• PACS image management and Epic electronic charting
• Accessing and managing ports, central venous access and PICC line care
• Ultrasound-guided procedures and use of ultrasound in IR
• Endovascular interventions, embolization, thrombolysis/thrombectomy and stent placement
• Gastrostomy, nephrostomy and catheter/drain exchanges
• Familiarity with dialysis graft interventions, IVC filters and radioembolization
