Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat a diverse caseload, including pediatric, adult neuro, and dysphagia patients, in both outpatient and acute inpatient settings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that empower patients to reach their communication and swallowing goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, patient-centered care, including co-treatment when clinically beneficial.
• Document patient progress with precision, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques to support progress beyond the clinic.

Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Ohio (or willingness to obtain)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
• BLS/BCLS certification to prioritize patient safety
• Minimum 3 years of SLP experience, with pediatric experience a must
• Ability to work a travel assignment; must reside outside a 60-mile radius from Chillicothe
• Strong collaborative skills and a passion for multidisciplinary teamwork
