Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient oral health and document comprehensive findings
• Provide professional dental cleanings and preventive care
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and at-home care
• Take and develop dental X-rays to support diagnosis
• Assist the dentist during procedures and treatments
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure strict infection control
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (VA)
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in a dental office preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Proficiency with dental software and digital X-ray systems
• Understanding of sterilization and aseptic techniques
• Ability to work comfortably with diverse patient populations
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
