Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during a variety of procedures, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for young patients
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety standards
• Take and process dental x-rays with care and precision
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate patient records and support smooth office operations
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that helps children feel at ease

Qualifications

• State certification or registration as a Dental Assistant (where applicable)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• X-ray (radiography) certification as required by the state
• Previous experience in a pediatric dental setting is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with children and parents
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency with dental software and patient management systems
• Understanding of pediatric dental procedures and child-friendly communication
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
