Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and at-home care to promote long-term dental health
• Take high-quality dental x-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience
• Screen patients for oral diseases and help identify conditions early
• Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure documentation is up to date
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments to uphold the highest safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first approach
• Ability to work collaboratively with a supportive dental team
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to infection control

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and patient assessment
• Knowledge of dental x-ray safety and techniques
• Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
• Strong interpersonal skills to put patients at ease
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
