Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the care team
- Assist nurses with clinical tasks and follow care plans accurately
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of patient care and observations
- Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control protocols
- Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to enhance care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Authorization to practice in California as required by state regulations
- Comfortable working a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) on a per-diem basis
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior patient care or long-term care experience preferred
- Reliable transportation to the assigned facility
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient hygiene, transfers, and mobility assistance
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety practices
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
