Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records
• Work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (California) or eligible to practice as a CNA
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Previous experience as a nursing assistant preferred but new grads are welcome
• Ability to pass background check and required screening
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently on overnight shifts

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs, patient transfers, and basic patient care tasks
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with clinical staff
• Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and HIPAA principles
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy setting
