RN - Telemetry
Location: Louisville, KY
Start Date: 05-04-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 8-hour shift; specific start/end times and scheduled days not provided. RN - Telemetry; orientation required.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly respond to arrhythmias and clinical changes
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for telemetry patients
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and discharge instructions
- Participate in unit orientation, quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Telemetry experience or comfort working with continuous cardiac monitoring
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
- IV medication administration and infusion pump familiarity
- Patient assessment and documentation in the electronic medical record
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong situational awareness and clinical judgment
