Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care for critically ill NICU and PICU patients using advanced technologies
• Operate ventilators, high flow devices, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and continuous nebulizers
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech
• Float to adult floors as needed to support with nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, and chest physiotherapy
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care

Qualifications

• Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) license in Florida or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital RRT experience
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications (must have at time of start)
• Recent NICU/PICU experience required
• Meditech experience preferred but not required
• Team player with strong critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

• Advanced respiratory equipment and ventilator management
• Neonatal and pediatric respiratory care protocols
• Meditech documentation system
• Multidisciplinary collaboration and communication
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands
