Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures, including braces and Invisalign fittings
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure patient safety
• Take dental x-rays and impressions as directed
• Provide patients with clear instructions on oral care and orthodontic treatment
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans
• Follow infection control protocols and uphold clinic standards

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or license as required by Virginia state regulations
• Hands-on experience with orthodontic treatments, including braces and Invisalign
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• CPR/BLS certification is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of orthodontic procedures and appliances
• Proficiency with Invisalign systems and aligner fitting
• Familiarity with dental terminology and patient care standards
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team
