Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable patient experience
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays and records for accurate treatment planning
• Educate patients on orthodontic care, including aligners, braces, and retainers
• Maintain patient charts and update treatment notes with precision and care

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified
• Prior experience as a dental assistant, preferably in orthodontics
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required by state
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work Mondays-Fridays from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and chairside assisting
• Familiarity with dental software, Denticon is a plus
• X-ray certification and radiology safety practices
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Compassionate approach to patient care, especially with teens and kids
