Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists during patient procedures to ensure smooth and efficient care
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments following infection control protocols
• Capture and develop dental x-rays as directed by the hygienist or dentist
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update dental charts
• Support the dental team with administrative tasks and patient flow management

Qualifications

• Certification or training as a dental assistant (or equivalent experience)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior experience assisting dental hygienists is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Comfortable working with patients of all ages

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of dental procedures and terminology
• Proficiency in dental software for patient records
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent teamwork and patient interaction abilities
