Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, self-scheduling within a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and post-surgical patients
Interpret telemetry strips and sign off at least once per shift to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with remote monitor techs and the interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified, expanding your skill set and impact
Support patients through recovery from general, orthopedic, and spinal surgeries

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to read basic telemetry strips
Preferred experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and strip reading
Care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and support staff
