Location: Garden City, Kansas

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple specialties
Monitor and manage cardiac, neuro, oncology, renal, and post-surgical patients with skill and empathy
Titrate Heparin drips and respond confidently to changing patient needs
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless care
Float within the 60-mile zone to support facilities and fill critical staffing gaps
Document accurately in EPIC and stay adaptable with new assignments and patient populations

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Neuro experience preferred along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC
Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius and work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical care
Comfort managing 1:5-6 patient ratios based on acuity
Ability to read telemetry strips and respond to low-acuity ICU holds
Flexibility to adapt to Just-In-Time assignments and multiple facility environments
Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced float pool setting
