Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients across a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin, cardizem, and protonix
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem while ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to same-level-of-care units to support team needs and maintain excellent patient outcomes
Perform hourly rounding and deliver patient-centered care that respects diverse cultural and spiritual needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
First-time travelers welcome with strong clinical skills

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing expertise
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
ICP monitoring and complex drip titration
EPIC EMR experience within the last 6 months preferred
Strong teamwork, adaptability, and genuine compassion for diverse patient populations
