Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services and ensure excellent quality of care alongside providers and clinic staff
• Lead and direct clinic staff for efficient operations including front desk and patient care
• Maintain medication inventory and supplies not on the Warehouse PAR system
• Oversee opening and closing of provider clinics
• Document all care and services clearly and correctly in a timely manner
• Communicate effectively with other departments to be an effective resource

Qualifications

• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state (must apply for Alaska license before start date for direct hires)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Clinical Competency within 3 months of hire and every three years
• High Risk Competency within 3 months of hire and every year
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing process and its application
• Customer service principles
• Safety and infection control principles
• Skills in assessments, anticipation of needs, and specimen collection
• Proficient with computers and medical equipment
• Effective oral and written communication
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Willingness to teach and ask for help when needed
