Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services and ensure excellent quality of care alongside providers and clinic staff
- Lead and direct clinic staff for efficient operations including front desk and patient care
- Maintain medication inventory and supplies not on the Warehouse PAR system
- Oversee opening and closing of provider clinics
- Document all care and services clearly and correctly in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with other departments to be an effective resource
Qualifications
- Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state (must apply for Alaska license before start date for direct hires)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Clinical Competency within 3 months of hire and every three years
- High Risk Competency within 3 months of hire and every year
- 1 year of acute care experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing process and its application
- Customer service principles
- Safety and infection control principles
- Skills in assessments, anticipation of needs, and specimen collection
- Proficient with computers and medical equipment
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to teach and ask for help when needed
