Registered Nurse - PCU
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate drips including Cardizem and beta-blockers
- Provide specialized care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes diagnoses
- Perform continuous EEG monitoring and seizure medication management
- Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain 1:4-5 nurse ratios
- Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units as needed while delivering exceptional patient care
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum one year of PCU experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
- Must live outside the 50-mile radius of the facility
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac monitoring and drip titration expertise
- EEG monitoring experience
- Strong critical thinking and communication abilities
- Ability to problem-solve in high-acuity settings
