Location: Louisville, KY

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 8-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days not provided) — Progressive Care Unit (PCU); orientation required starting 2026-04-27
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
- Assess, monitor and document patient condition including vital signs and telemetry
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Participate in orientation and unit-based training to maintain clinical excellence
- Communicate clearly with patients and families to provide education and support
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (KY or applicable compact licensure)
- Experience or interest in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to complete facility orientation and required onboarding
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- IV therapy and safe medication administration
- Patient assessment and care planning
- Accurate clinical documentation and communication
- Teamwork, critical thinking and time management
