Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care to post-surgical patients
Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Respond to ICU patients recovering in PACU with confidence and expertise
Read and interpret cardiac strips to maintain patient safety
Support your colleagues by assisting with lunch relief coverage
Float to surgery center as needed to expand your skills and impact

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
Epic EMR experience a plus
Ability to respond to call within 1 hour

Knowledge & Skills

PACU nursing expertise
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfort managing vents, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to float and adapt to changing needs
